The British Memorial Garden strengthens the Board of Trustees of the BMG Trust UK Ltd. with the appointment of two new trustees

The President of the Board of Trustees of the British Memorial Garden Trust UK Limited, Katherine Astor, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Trustees to the Board.

Tessa Bamford, a founding partner of Cantos Communications, the leading online video communications company, previously she spent 18 years as an investment banker, latterly as a Director of Schroders, working in both the UK and the US. She is also a Governor and a member of the Management Committee of the British Institute of Florence .
 
A C (Sandy ) Gilmour, an Honorary Fellow of the London School of Economics, has been a Governor for approximately 30 years. He was a corporate stockbroker for 25 years, and Chairman of the National Playing Fields Association. He has been on the Board of many companies and helped in the same vein a variety of Charities. At present he is Chairman of XLGI - producer of artificial surfaces for international sport and leisure.  

Katherine Astor, President, said "These appointments will strengthen the Board bringing further expertise in our help here in the UK to support the efforts of BMG USA .  The ground has been broken for the new British Memorial Garden to be built in Hanover Square New York . The Garden under the royal patronage of HRH Price of Wales will be a gift to the people of New York to celebrate the long standing ties between the United Kingdom and the United States whilst honoring the 67 British victims of the World Trade Centre attacks".
