Horticultural Highs

From the British 'House and Garden' Magazine, January 2005, in excerpt from an article titled "Horticultural Highs"

"Until now, Julian and Isabel's projects have developed behind the closed gates of their private clients, but this year heralds their first public commission. The British Memorial Garden in Manhattan, commemorating the British subjects whose lives where lost on September 11, 2001, will be slicker and more cutting edge than any of their work to date. Inscribed ribbons of limestone loosely delineating the outline of the British Isles will be interspersed with yews clipped into tall, abstract forms. This departure from their more usual style is, nevertheless, another joyously creative, intellectually informed but funky example from the most eclectic couple in modern garden design."
